Here are our top tips...

  • Create a Brief - The more thorough your brief the better
  • Budget - set yourself a budget and be realistic
  • Timescales - Know when you are looking for the work to be completed
  • Do your research on your designer - ask yourself the following questions:
  • Are they qualified?
  • Do they have experience?
  • Have I reviewed their portfolio and recent commissions?
  • Do they have client references and testimonials?
  • Do they have key product and supplier knowledge?
  • Do they have the right level of Insurance in place?
  • Can they deliver my brief to my budget?
  • Arrange to meet - discuss your brief, budget and timescales
  • Could you work closely with your designers - A close working relationship is important
  • Ask for a fee proposal - The designer will provide a detailed scope of works and fee proposal
  • Final Step - Appoint.
